What’s On My September Watch List from Netflix Türkiye— Day 27/30
Dear Friends,
Thank you for joining me again today. Yesterday I gave myself the night off. Some of you may not know this but on the days I’m working, which are work days, I write these at night. This being a challenge to write more, quickly it became a challenge to find enough time in the day to be able to write! Anyway, last night I really needed some sleep and I have to admit I woke up later than I expected too. They are saying the Blue Full Moon which is tomorrow is to blame. :)
Anyway, today I want to write briefly about 3 projects I’m excited to watch on Netflix Türkiye in September. I will not touch upon Terzi in this blog post. I’m hoping to watch season 1 and 2 and maybe if I like it I’ll write a separate review on it. We’ll see. I am assuming you already know about Terzi (The Tailor) right?
The first one I want to mention is Kulüp (The Club) which on September 15th we’ll be able to watch the second season. I wrote a review on the first part of the first season a while ago. You can read it here. I still haven’t seen the second part of season one so I have my work cut out for me. Kulüp is one of the best things that came out of Netflix in the last years so I highly recommend you watch it. It’s a period drama that takes place in the 1950’s İstanbul. The story centers around a Jewish woman who just got out of prison who reunites with her daughter and she starts working at a night club. I’m very excited to watch the rest of the story.
Kötü Adamın 10 Günü (10 Days of a Bad Guy) only excites me because I heard great things about the first movie of the series İyi Adamın 10 Günü (10 Days of a Good Guy). I haven’t watched any of them but I also heard a third movie from the series is in the works. In all of the movies we follow Sadık who quit being a lawyer and started working as an investigator. I love Nejat İşler so I’m quite certain these movies are good. If you enjoy them he did another movie with Netflix in 2022 called Tamirhane which I think is a comedy.
Do Not Disturb (Ayzek ile Bir Gece) is another Cem Yılmaz movie. Cem Yılmaz has done a few series for Netflix too. For those who don’t know, Cem Yılmaz is a renowned stand up comedian, writer, director and producer. He is known for some record breaking movies he made in the past. If you are curious about his previous work, on Netflix you can find Karakomik Filmler and Erşan Kuneri.
Do Not Disturb is about a ferry waiter who loses his job during the pandemic and starts working at a hotel on the night shift. I think the movie will be about his adventures on the first night. As someone who worked on the night shift at a hotel as a student, I can say you can’t even imagine the things that have happened to me! :) I think the plot idea is perfect and knowing Cem Yılmaz studied tourism, I am expecting this to be extremely fun! This will air on September 29th and the cast looks great with Ahsen Eroğlu and Nilperi Şahinkaya being among them.
